D4 Indicator stalk

Please could Anyone with a D4 let me know are the wipe/indicator stalks supposed to light up when the lights are on. I have a 2016 HSE Lux and everything else is like the Blackpool illuminations but you can’t see the settings on the wipers etc which seems a bit pants considering the cost of the car.

As far as I’m aware they don’t light up

I’ve got D4s fitted on my D3 and they dont light up , indeed would be nice if they did

Yep beginning to think they don’t which seem rubbish to me when they are so expensive. My wife has a little fiat that even light up the stalks and that’s a 7 year old basic model and have a van that does. It’s hard to see wiper settings when it’s dark.

No worries and ur right ref for an expensive vehicle u would have thought so

I’ve often looked about installing a small led inside them, trouble is there’s no windows inside the stalks for the light to shine though

Another thought I had was using a luminous pen on the markings ????

Really if you have to look at the wiper stalk to work out whats what when driving it!
I dont even know or care what mine look like, they just do as I say and thats good enough.

Why wouldn’t I want to look at it. I swop between the D4 which I drive very little and a Defender 90 which I drive a lot and a van. So yer I like to look. Was only asking as D4 not long purchased from main dealer so if it needed doing under warranty I would know.
Obviously not the only judging by the nice replies

I’m with u, I still have to sometimes look, is mainly the wiper side that I have to occasionally have a glance at

I drive mine 1-2 times a weeks and the old brain can’t always remember, lol

No need to thank me, I highly recommed you dont post in the AG section

I drive a D3, 90, S2, Audi, various scanias, various dafs, various mercs, sadly some Fords, i dont look at the stalks.
