You'll have to excuse me in advance for any cluelessness.
I replaced the camshaft sensor (again) today. Then i accidentally ran the engine without the oil filter on fot 30 seconds!! After refilling the oil, and cranking it a few times it seemed to run fine. Let it run for a few minutes etc.. because I was trying to fix a slow start issue, I started it, restated it a few times and after 30 seconds it just shut down.
Now all the lights come on but it won't crank at all.
I'm going to check the relays to the starter tomorrow. But am I right looking through the ignition system? Or could I have damaged something by running it with the oil filter off?
Could being soaked in oil have affected something in the ignition system?
Any ideas would be appreciated. I hope its electrical, despite having to look up how to check the battery with a multimeter..
