Looking at getting my 300tdi block bored and honed off local machine shop soon. Just wondering if anyone can tell me the the spec the bores are honed to? After searching through the Kolben Schmidt catalogue I believe the rings are chrome plated and these require a somewhat coarser hone than most ( 2.8 tgv manual states final pass of 320 grit is the 300tdi the same? ) . Some first hand knowledge however would be much appreciated
