My d2 Td5 is blowing alot of white smoke from the exhaust and drinking coolant suspect it's one of the above and sure way of finding out which it is without stripping it down?
cylinder head or gasket?

Doesn't really matter, the head has to come off either way.

All the time, the reason I ask is to ascertain whether or not the.cylinder will need replaced
