Hi People, has any one had cv joints replaced, mine has decided to start "clicking" on fullish lock and accellerating, have been quoted £70-90 for the part and 2hrs labour, reasonable?
Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

The joints are £20-£30 double check on Paddocks or whoevers web site, 2 hours seems OK, I'd take all afternoon with plenty of tea and biscuits, and do both sides though.

Don't worry unduly about a little clicking on lock. As long as the rubber boot is intact and has never been broken or let the special moly-lube out, it will probably last a million miles more.

Just had the cv joint done, part cost £120+vat, gutted, car feels a lot better with no clicking. apparantly there was no grease in the one that was replaced, asked to check on the level the other side and they put a whole tube in it, so that was dry as well, obviously the previous owner or before that took a few chances on maintenance.
