managed to get my sixteen quid 2A going at last but would like to customise it (heathen i know)
got no mechanical knoledge but bought a set of sockets from Halfords so that qualifies me as a mechanic don't it?
idealy i want to lift it, loose the doors and roof, fit a V8, oh n the wife says i've got to paint it red
is there a haynes manual or somthing that'll give me a clue what to do
thanks
dave

Do a search for "Landrover manual downloads" you'll find lots of links. Oh an don't paint it red or it'll never climb hills.

not thinking of climbing hills, more underwater type of driving
matey in the village has got a tricked up suzuki n thinks he's the dogs bollocks
got to prove that englands finest can do the biz even if its 40 years old

Hope you have a sense of humour joining this forum?

You'll find most doors of Series II vehicles are already loose, so first job is done already.

For painting, ignore the how to prep and spray thread..........don't ask, it will soon become very obvious.

Any spare bit's you don't need offer them up to the other members, always the chance of a pint out of it.........:)

calm down lads
plenty to go round
i'll try n take some pics of it tommorow
do know the chassis is cracked accross the front n its been stood for at least 6 years
just before it was parked up (because of the chassis) the div, sorry, enthusiast had the engine n box completely rebuilt, no doubt at great cost
that was about the only reason i bought it. thought i'd make a few quid on the engine n other bits, then weigh the rest in (don't scream toooo loud all you full blownlandy perverts)
but if REDHAND wants to make me an offer for the lot delivered into his waiting arms in good old Yorkyshire then i'll only be too glad

sorry no
i've got an ex military bonnet thats got the bonnet mounted clips on if thats any good
failing that you somtimes see em on the old fleabay

would that include the fingies on the tops of the wings to clip em on to?

ive seen em on e bay but they tend to sell for more money than they cost new.
