Looking at buying a 1990’s 110, and the vehicle’s chassis vin appears to be “curved” (see photos).

Is this something that occurs normally based on the weld line, or does this appear to be a chassis vin that has been tampered with?

Not sure when they went over to the dot punched VIN no's, think it was during the 90's - I think that most of the original ones I've seen have been in a straight line though, even back to my 1971 lightweight! If it's been re-chassis'd or had a new dumb iron welded on though that could explain it....

I'd be more worried if it was straight. More importantly is it the right number?

It matches the vin plate and the seller claims it’s the original chasis....I have my doubts

It is difficult to be 100% certain from a picture, but that number looks original to me.
