May seem a daft question but are cubby boxes a universal fit or would I need a specific one for May 1989 90.
Any links or general advice would be much appreciated.

I think all the later series and earlier coil sprungs up to the td5 are the same pumas may be different though, mine came from Paddocks and its fine I can't see spending more would get something better unless you fancy an aluminium one.

Pretty certain the are totally universal throughout the Fender range.

Easy to check, the inspection pannel in the middle where rhe cubby would go should have 4 threaded holes near each corner.

You may have to drill a few holes of your own, but it shouldn't be too hard to get it to fit.

That's the one I fitted in mine. I fitted two 1" square lengths of wood to each side of the base of the cubby and then screwed through the gearbox cover plate into them. Makes the thing sit at the right height and makes fitting easy.
