Looking for help with my CC ... When driving the CC works fine to hold a speed and slow down ,however pushing the 'set' button the car accelerates very slow (this is only over the last week or so.been fine for years). Also it fineds it hard to return to speed when pushing the 'Res' button. You can see it's trying to accelerate but very slowly...Checked all vacuum hose's,one was slightly cracked ,replaced it but the car still will not return to its cruising speed very quickly once the 'Res' button is pushed. As i say it hold speed up hill and on the flat just finds it hard to accelerate using the 'set' button. If it's the CC cable not sure how to adjust it ?? Range rover 2001 4.6

Have you removed the air bag and looked at the connections? Its a wire tape type thing (im no expert) could of become trapped/worn I've seen them get folds in and stop working...

Is that in the unit the hose go's into?? and the wire cable come out from the other side??
if so ,no... Is it 'simple' to do as I am no expert at these things.

Very easy to adjust cable, the black knob that connects to where the air bag is just twist until the cam is just touching the throttle body housing, your cable may have stretched a bit over time and needs to be tensioned again to take up slack.

Well did the righty-tighty and yes there was a small 1cm or so bit of cable showing to the small air bag..no there is none. However it's made no difference, sorry to say..She will still hold a speed when set but will not accelerate on anything but the flat using the set button..And then only very slowly??? The Res button hardly works either. You can see she tries to return to set speed but can not get there. Its strange as it happened over night so to speak?? There are 3 black hose's,the top one go's to the air bag and i changed that as it seemed to have a tiny spilt, the long one which runs along the bulkhead had a very small amount of fraying where it joins the T part ,so cut back to good rubber. Don't know what the small lower hose does ,however it seems fine?
