Are any 7.50x16 cross ply tires still available (new) in the UK and, if so, where do they sell them? Not had much luck searching so far.

Thanks. They're a bit too expensive for me. I was thinking about a set of General sag cross-ply tires but have only found the radial version for sale online. Any opinions about these? They look ok, still suitable for a Series vehicle, though the tread pattern seems a lot less aggressive when compared to the sag cross-ply tires I've had (used mainly off-road).

It looks like I'm going to have the same problem before long:(.

I'm running General SAG's (Crossply) at the moment, but they're 3/4 gone now.
I'm also looking for a decent replacement but Crossplies seem to be nonexistant new now. I also prefer them because of the tread.

Also, I don't want to spend much (it's a Land Rover for fooks sake). I'd be happy with remoulds.

So, possibilities are part-used radials with good tread (although in the profile we use these are getting rare) or something cheap 'an cheerful (although radial again.)

Like this:

Kingpin Mud Terrain 205R16 MT RRP £38.72 from MJ Motor Factors

Not sure about the profile though. Looks a bit short to me.

Any advice?

Exactly. But I want to keep 7.5x16 tires on it as I prefer the look. Not many options really, especially for tires that look the part and perform well. Any other ideas would be great. The Super All Grip radials look ok but they are not really a mud tire and I wonder how they perform off-road.

I recently got some 600x16 crossplies from Autofit and Motoring Centre, Bridgewater, Somerset for £50 each fitted. Might be worth a try.
