creative only pls...creating an adapter plate

gmc 6.2 v8 onto lt95

problem is gmc flywheel is bigger than lt95 bellhousing opening..bugger

so make my own bellhousing..not easy to get truly accurate

adapter plate..

flywheel sticks 40mm or so above gmc block so adapter plare will have to be i recon.say 10mm plate bolted to block.(DARK BLUE,see pic )
with 30mm high plate say 6mm thick welded to it so it clears block bolts..on this plate another circular plate welded on top.this plate just being a circular strip of suitable thickness so i can drill and tap the lt95 bellhousing bolts into..obviously has a wacking hole in the center for the clutch to fit...BUT i really dont like this, look where the lt95 holes are to where i would have to put the 30mm plate..
just dont like..

large horse shoe shape plate size to bolt to block

i have not found an idea i ike yet to make this...thought of tubes(block bolts pass through)braced with 40mm 6mm thick strip welded together with plate bolted/welded to to bolt lt95 to etc...

ideas pls!! oh no machine shops..lack of cash .has to be diyerable..

If a machine shop was in budget, I'd be looking at a smaller flywheel, but I know nowt.

issue with that is..
a..just bought from states brand new flywhel..
b..flywheel is of balanced type..ie its part of engine balancing,has hugh lob of cast built in and has obviously been then carfully balanced..this part of cast is on just 1/4 of dia of flywheel..
so rather difficult to remanufactor smaller,ignoring starter motor isues..

keep ideas coming please...on how to make adapter plate that is "nice"
