Crankcase Breather/Depression Limiter Valve

Just had a quick look, and can't seem to get at the filter. Should it just come apart with a little force or is there a way?

the top casing can be a bit of a git if stuck but be gentle and work your way round the casing and it will free off. Have you removed all the bolts? Have a look at these pictures from this thread it might help.
