The insulation on the wiring to my crank shaft sensor is starting to degrade and crack. I have previously made a repair to the insulation which cured a misfire but now I am in a position where I have the time to change the wiring to the sensor completely.
I have seen a repair kit on e-bay but it only has quite short lengths of wire I would like to replace from sensor to the ECU without changing the complete engine loom.
What I need is the specification of the wire needed to do this.
The wiring diagram says it is MQA wire and that it is screened. Having done a search for MQA screened wire no results that will give me an clue as what to buy.
Any information on what wire to purchase would be a great help.

I would hazard a guess you could use any braided screening wire so long as you earth it at one end?
I can remember vauxhall had lots of probs with crank sensors and that was the cure add screening to the existing wiring, not sure which engine xe xte or something like that
Lots of the truck sensor wiring is run in twisted pairs but not all.
