thanks for the infoGoto your nearest BMW parts desk and ask for part number 11127799367. They call it an oil seperator. It replaces the standard lr part that requires changing at every service. this one you can fit and forget.
Easy to fit, its just infront if the air filter housing, bout half hour job.

£23.98 from BMW. You dont need the full asm. You just need the filter part and it comes with 2 gaskets and an 'o' ring
Yes bargain and the other thing i noticed has a notch on the right lower side wonder if they have modified for different housing
the only thing with fitting these new bits rather than the old filter it will not stop any swarf I would rather gange a filter every time but thats just me old fashioned

It isn't a filter and is not designed to remove swarf from the oil.
All it does is remove oil from the fumes in the crankcase and vent excess pressure to the inlet ducting by the turbo.
