cracks in drivers door handle

Any one had this happen , noticed a single crack at first a year or so ago , from the lock . its got a lot worse now

a bit fidly to replace, remove door card and unbolt door catch lock. then take out small rubber bung on inside off door inline of cracked handle and you will see a small 8mm nut which you. we'd a small 1/4" long reach nut spinner for... this was prob over tightened at some stage and caused cracking, another 8mm nut is on opposite end bolted to metal plate which you will need tiny spanner for.

Thanks for that joe , i shall have to price a replacement part
