You can buy a suitable adjustable stat from www.cpc.co.uk for about £15, part number HG00266, you need a plastic box to put it in. Sensor just cable ties to top hose and need covering with a bit of 28mm foam pipe lagging.
Haha, fair enough! Well you just reminded me, so just went out and did the same - will see if it warms up and quicker on the journey home. If it gets too hot, i'll rip it off, but I don't think that is going to happen somehow...it's still -2'C out there!
) was looking a bit ropey thanks to a lot of rain, snow and several hard frosts :doh:, so I've had to ditch the cardboard. However, I have just put together a wonderful replacement, using some 800 micron thick sheet of black polypropylene, a crease bar, a punch and some scissors - much better! Also made it a little wider as it still sits below halfway thanks to the really cold temperatures we've got at the moment - the creases either side will enable me to tear bits off when the temperature warms up a bit!
