Had to drive to Stoke on Trent from Plymouth and back last week to take my kids home to their mothers.
So A38, M5, M6 going up a little bit of driving around whilst up there.
Then M6, M5, A38 back down then pottering about round Plymouth.
In total 523 miles on 59.75 liters of diesel or 13.14 gallons not to empty but brim to brim.
Doing the sums works out at 39mpg!!!
Which I think is pretty damn impressive?
I also think the average 50mph speed limits helped a lot
1997 3 door 300tdi manual. 122k full service history, no cat, fan or egr Millers additive every fuel stop.
I've tweaked the pump gradually over 6 months adjusting it slowly
Standard suspension Falken wild peak AT tyres.
Just done ALL the oils and one shot in the hubs.
Was going to swap it for a td5 but think I'll hang on to it for a bit longer now
