Correct Engine oil.

Hi to all,
I am new here,this is my 1st post.
Please can anyone tell me was is the best oil for my defender 110
2013 model with engine 2.2TDCI,?

That new? Did you get a owners manual with it? Where you live determines what grade/weight of oil

oWNERS mANUAL ONLY SAYS cASTROL.

Dealer gave me Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30,
Contacted Mobil 1 Tech.support they say Mobil Super 3000 C1 5W-30
who is correct, I have mentioned to both of them the fact that this Landy is used
in hell, sort journeys in congested trafic and temp.of around 35c-40c.

Been trying Google for 3 days, no exact answer ?
Some of them claim oil should have a Ford Specs,
others say refer to main dealer !!

Hell if you are driving in them temps 95F-104F you need a 20w50 Shell rotella T is a damn good diesel oil......Shell Rotella® Products - Shell Rotella
got 300k miles on a 6.0 v8 petrol

I think you are right about the Rotella, I will have a deeper look at the web site.

Think you will find all tdci engines need 5w xx-something to do with very tight machining tolerances and any thicker oil does not get where it should and engine failure is the result

got to agree on that,using a thicker oil in older engines is ok,but not in this particular engine.i looked up several oil manufacturers recommendations for this engine and they all said the same,that is just one i put in my post earlier.

1. 5W/30 to ford spec WSS–M2C934–B WITH DPF
2. 5W/30 to ford spec WSS–M2C913–B or C WITHOUT DPF
