Hi all, im having serious cooling issues with my 2002 disco. After driving for bout 10 or 15 minutes the temp guage drops to nothing and engine is roasting. I have changed the thermostat and water pump but still the same. The rad isnt getting warm at all so im assuming therws a blockage or an air lock somewhere. Can anyone help on how to fix this. Its my first disco so im not that familiar with fixing it yet. Any help is much appreciated

Best post in the disco section.

Is the top hose hot and bottom cool on the radiator? When the engines hot do the blowers blow hot air into the cab? If the answer is no to those questions you’ve got a circulation issue - either the pump or an air lock. Take the top cap out of the radiator and run it. Should ‘burp’ itself.

Still trying to sort the heating issue. Have ben looking through the wiring and was advised to check behind the glovebox incase anything round the blower was loose. Can anyone tell me where this should connect to. I can find anywhere for it and dont want to pull anything apart i dont have to. Any help is appreciated
