coolent help on p38

can some one please give me a idiots guide to bleeding the coolent system on a p38 4.0 as i am haveing trouble doing it thanks for any help

Hi,no expert but just did mine 2000 model 4 litre , i asume you have got all the coolant in and engine started cap is on , just sit on idle and let beast heat up if water drains from tank switch off engine and undo cap and top up BUT FOR GODS SAKE watch out for scalding release very very slowly loads o hissing on first slow turn leave it till hissing stops top up resivour put cap back on and start engine keep doing this till water stays steady at the full mark on tank,,,,,if still blowing cold air in system on hot settings just keep this method up it will eventually go hot please remember slowly unscrew cap till starts to hiss leave till it stops hissing top up coolant to full mark, cap on, start engine watch coolant level never to full and never empty hope i have helped
