Im having problems with the water level on my disco TD5, when I get back from being out for a run in it the water level in the expansion tank has dropped to the bottom, when I un-screw the cap it suddenly rises back up. Its not over heating I think it has an air lock but when I try to bleed it at the screw there is only water there no air, Also when im out in it I can hear air in the system can anyone advise how I can bleed it off and are they normally this hard to bleed.

Thanks.

what do you mean when you say you can hear air in it? bubbling, gurgling, hissing etc?

Next time, efore letting the cap off give the coolant hoses a squeeze. Are they crushable or rock solid?

Hi I've been having this exact issue with my td5 90 for a few months now, did you ever find out the reason?

Cheers
