So, new day new issue.
Now I have a coolant leak that is not visible anywhere. No oil in coolant, no pink traces, no white smoke. Just going to minimum after approx 1k miles.
I suspect is the EGR however that is very expensive. My question is it usually the valve or the cooler that leaks? The valve is not that expensive, but the cooler is actually.
Also can the egr blank (which has been done) on these 2.2 cause this like on fl1 td4 automatics?

Thanks,
Paul

The cooler is the only place where water and exhaust gasses get close, so the cooler is where the coolant is going.

Does the exhaust smell of coolant?

The exhaust does not seem to smell like coolant. However, my EGR is recently blanked.
And today took it off and there was water pooring from the pipe where the blank is, and the blank is full of water.
So the blank is stopping the water flow. It is definitely leaking.

I see the same egr water cooled fitted on both manuals and automatics. I still suspect blanking the egr is causing it to leak somehow although I am not sure why. It did that on td4 fl1 for sure.

On top of that today when I took of the manifold I see alot of oil in there. More than it used to be when I took it off first time.
