Hello everyone, I just redo the clutch of my Discovery 2 of 2003, during the dismantling phase, I immediately agreed that the insulation above the gearbox was soaked with red coolant. I immediately went to work looking for some sleeve that was leaking, but nothing. I reassemble all the clutch assembly. Now I find myself with the new clutch already wet with coolant :( With a more careful analysis, I saw that the fusion cap of the monoblock behind the exhaust manifold presents a loss of liquid that runs over the entire head, according to you , could it be that the refrigerant could infiltrate inside the gearbox? Do you have any suggestions for me? I tried to look behind my head, but I do not see any red spots (see photo).

The clutch is slipping on ours and I am a bit worried that there might be diesel from the fuel pressure regulator getting in the bell housing. I hadn't thought about coolant. I am going to put dye in the diesel to check before tackling the clutch.

Hello, thanks for the reply, I had to redo the clutch due to wear, in my bell there was no diesel.
Currently looking at the hole of the ford cap you see a few drops of red liquid. Honestly I did not think that from the cap behind the exhaust manifold the water could get there !!!!
