Coolant drain plug.. ???

Quick question- changing the rad and coolant on my 96 Disco 300TDi. All the hoses and rad are out but Haynes says to completely drain the coolant remove the coolant drain bolt from the LHS of the engine block.

Now- is that LHS as looking over the bonnet from the front or looking out of the car from the drivers seat? And where is the fekker- Haynes kindly provides no picture so I've no idea which is it?

Its the right hand side looking over the bonnet...in behind the alternator, near the dipstick tube

I can't see or access mine on the 200Tdi. How do you approach it - from underneath or above?

you are looking at the right thing arnt you ... its easy to get at . try from under the landy. its just below the exhaust manifold near the front of engine.
