Hi .. I’m a new member but just wondering if anyone has heard of a p38 being converted to tow a fifth wheel … would no doubt mean serious modification.. not least, cutting it in half! Thanks. Brian.
 
No..

Not possible they're only plated at 3500kg anyway so legally you'd have issues, assuming you van is over 3t being it has a 5th wheel coupling..

Thanks for the reply. Some 5th wheelers can come in at below 3000 kgs … Celtic rambler .. 2900 .. probably sailing too close to the wind?.. but it would be interesting ..
 
Take a load of measurements regarding the swan neck & over hang of the trailer.
Does/could this hit the motor while turning?

I would look at a normal converted pick up & save the hassle.
