hi all, as a new freelander ower im just getting to grips with the landy, however i fitted a towbar today with help from this site(a big thankyou for that)as i plugged the electrics in to the socket behind boot trim i noticed a bit of damp, and the underlay of the carpet was a bit wet,not soaking i must say, neway could neone suggest a fault of cause etc,and how to fix the problem, thanks for you help all,Carl

:behindsofa:

I also have this problem, with condensation on the underside of the storage compartment hinged plastic cover. The "Box" and the rest of the loadspace carpet is dry, even after heavy rain. I was toying with the idea of either getting the bare plastic underside of the hinged access cover flock sprayed or sticking some thin polystyrene onto the surface. At the moment I have it wedged slightly open-only about 10mm and that appears to have stopped the condensation forming.

They have a habbit of leaking past the tailgate glass if it isn't seated 100%.
Might be worth pouring some water over the tailgate area to see if you get any triccles seeping into the vehicle (you'll see water on the inside of the glass)
If this is the case then you can easily adjust the glass by removing the trim and adjust it inwards slightly to create a better seal....... :)

thanks for that mate i take it,its striaght forward too do mate, cheers for your help on this matter.
