I have had the, not uncommon it would seem, issue with the A/C compressor. The wires that feed the clutch are in just the right place to get cut if/when the belt beaks. The problem is there is not enough of the wires left, at the clutch end to solder.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? There seems to be a few compressors for sale ( at a price that means if this is the only option I am going to get used to not having A/C) but there is nothing wrong with mine and I am not keen on having to pay to have the system re-gassed either.
It is a Denso 447300-1281. American ebay has a couple of generic clutches that will fit but I would prefer to get one from here just in case there is a problem with it.
Thanks.

Well, managed, with the help of a watch makers magnifying lens to solder the wires back on to the clutch. Its all back together and working (for now anyway). Everyone I contacted today wanted to sell me a complete compressor ranging from fifty quid from a scrapper to 350 for a new one. Back to welding my lads Suzuki samurai, 17 owners in 25 years and it seems like every one of them used it to the best of their ability then parked it in a pond after.
