Hi all, can anyone tell me what the black box with pipes going into it on the passenger side near the windscreen behind the Air suspension compressor box is? I have looked on Rave but cant seem to find anything relating to it?
Thanks in advance...

Sorry should have said, yes it is the v8. Ok i have looked at it and it seems to leaking oil out of it and running down the chassis leg also into the wheel arch.
Does this sound possible???
Thanks again..

As a professional geriatric...many on here will confim. I am used to liquids running down my leg !!
No, there should not be oil leaking from it. The function is to remove petrol fumes using a charcoal canister. It is not connected to any oil supplies, only the fuel system (Petrol)

 Ok i will re investigate, there is definately oil coming from this area though any idea what could be leaking? Thanks..

The Evaps canister, as you say is away from the engine. The only component in the immediate area is the EAS control box and Cruise Control pump unit, neither of which has any oil feed. Slightly to the left on certain models is the Autobox dipstick/filler tube.
Is the oil ATF or engine oil ?? Could be ATF blowing up through the dipstick tube, especially if the dipstick is not inseted fully.
