If they were serious about saving the world then they should put a high TAX
on cars and any product that has a short life.
90% of the energy used by a car over it's typical life was used to produce it.
It's all well and good having a new greener car but if it only lasts 5 years then its very un-green.

Sorry I'm ranting again.

Eh up weer talking politics here.

Wots greener and takes up less road space?

An 18 year old 90 running on bio-diesel doing 2000-3000 miles a year and will last indefinitely, or a 5 year old 1400cc petrol Nissan Almera doing 10000 miles a year and will probably need replacing within three years.

I've got one of each, the answer is the 90.

Which one am I going to be encouraged to use?

You guessed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you may not like this. But if anyone is realy concerned about the state of the environment the only way to do it is to stop burning fossil fuels . Tax's won't make any difference at all. Especially when they're taxing the wrong vehicles.
