Hi,

Does anyone know if Defenders are classified as Commercial vehicles or if only certain LR Defenders are classified as commercial vehicles - If so, which ones?

Thanks,

Tim.

Hi, i think they are nearly always classed as LGV but i have seen a couple on Fleabay which have been classed as commercial vehicles, and i think this is because some are specifically fitted with heavy duty chassis - particularly as used by some utility companies and the milly-tree. Standard defenders outta the factory are just classed same as normal cars.

Most older defenders are classed as dual purpose I haven't got a clue what the new ones are classed as. but my 110 were classed as dual purpose light utility vehicles.

My Colleague found a website (comcar.co.uk) where you could search for them, so got this list in the end - Thanks for your help though:
