Colour

Needing help with colour of the Landy in my avatar it's a 1993 200tdi was told it was conniston green but tried that and it's not have now been told it could be eskdale green any of you more knowledgable lads or lasses any ideas I had to sand some rust of and now need to paint if I ever find the right one.

Is the colour code not on the VIN plate?

Other option is to go to Halfords, as I understand they do a colour match.

You sure? Usually one of the letters in the code refers to colour.

Just looking at my handbook. Few years older, but think it will be the same.

Number isnt in the VIN code itself, that identifies manufacturer, model range, wheelbase, body type, engine, trans, model name, and location of manufacture.

On the plate with the VIN. there should also be a small box, bottom lh corner, with a paint code number in it.

My 300 tdi defender has the plate with the vin. Has a section for colour. That section has no stamps / has been left blank.

Thats a shame, but doesnt altogether surprise me. Landrover werent always good at detail!

Do yu know a way to find out the colour on yours?

Dunno if this might help at all. Just a thought. but after all those years in the sun the colour may not be just like new mixed anyway.

Had a lad come and have a look he thinks it's ardeness green metallic.

Could be a stelf model if box is blan
