Disco 3 (LR3) Clutch

Had new clutch fitted in June. Towed a caravan 70 miles then next day 95 miles. There was a smell from the clutch. 3 weeks ago I pulled a van stuck in inch of mud, offside only 3 metres out of the mud and the smell from the clutch was very evident. I could not use a Land Rover agent as not near enough. Any ideas appreciated.
