CLUTCH SLAVE ROD CLIP

Has anyone been able to install the clutch slave rod to release fork clip, via the slave cylinder hole?
asking for a friend...............

Can be done but it is a right fiddle. There is a tool to do the job [see Youtube] but I have not ever seen one for real.
A trick is to put rod into a bit of plastic pipe with the clip on. Pipe is just long enough so when clip is tight at its end a small vice/mole grip is latched onto the slave end of the rod keeping it all firm to push into place.
