right guys

my clutch is on its way out (disco 1 300tdi )to the point the bite is right at the top now. i been quoted around £400-500 labour for the job done what i think is a lot of money.

Does anyone on here fancy doing it around the cheshire area ?

cheers

clutch kit is about £90 withought fork, (i did mine last week)..cant helkp you im afraid as im leeds but i did mine with car on car ramps and fair few hours

depends if the top bolts are in or not really, im doing mine at the mo and the top bolts not being there makes it a lot eaiser. I had my box out within a couple of hours. I removed: Props, battery cables, starter motor, clutch cylinder (im changing it), centre console, gear & transfer box stick's, hand brake cable then all the gearbox bolts then dropped it all back onto the cross member. While its out im doing the clutch, arm, spigot bearing and rear main oil seal. it should hopefully be going back in monday

Any how I hope that gives you an idea of what's involved

Or if he has a ramp drop it onto a lift and do it that way bi just did the clutch on my series today in 90 mins and that's a disco box and engine in there. Torque bolts to 40 NM easy to get to top bolts on mine with a few extensions and uj bits so should be same on disco hopefully
