Clutch problems

Morning Folk,

i have defender 90 200 tdi, over the last three days the clutch position has dropped and dropped to the point i have now had to put my land rover off the road because i am struggling to engage a gear. Any advice would be gratefully received.

i don't think the clutch itself has gone because it changed to much to quickly. not to mention i can't smell that burnt out clutch smell.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago... change the Master, and Slave cylinders, bleed the system, and that should cure it.

Worked for me anyway,

Could also be that your release fork has bent or the pivot point has punched through.

Replaced the Slave cylinder and bled, problem solved. thanks for your help.
