May I ask the advice of more experienced Discovery owners?
I have just had the clutch replaced on my 96 300 TDi, new plate, cover, bearing and HD clutch arm. Unfortunately the arm was fitted without slipper pads so the box has to come back out. Pedal only has action from halfway down travel. I understand that but the clutch also judders on take up and gearchanges which it never did before.
My question is what is causing the judder? Don't think it's the slipper pads and since the box is coming out again I want to get this fixed. My thoughts are either plate (AP driveline) or spigot bush? Since it has to come apart may as well change these and argue with supplier about plate.
I would be very grateful for any advice, had Disco's for about 15 years and never needed a clutch before, wish I'd done it myself now but didn't fancy the weight of the gearbox falling on me, not as strong as I used to be!
Hope someone on here has experienced something similar and can point me in the right direction.
Thanks,

Warped flywheel?

Or warped cover. or maybe crud on the friction plate which might burn off. Possibly more likely that its just not getting fully disengaged.... hopefully, if the geometry is out due lack of slippers, then it might be normal for it to do that - I mostly put 'em back together properly :D

Which of the above it is, ( if any), should show up on removal TBH.

As an aside, don't forget ZF make the cure for all known clutch faults :D:D:D

I would check the gearbox and transfer box mountings are all good.
Unlikely, but worth a look before dropping it all again. Bell housing bolts all tight?
Clutching at straws really but either of the above will cause the box to move and cause weird pull away problems.
