Chaps,
I recently swapped in my 99 Auto disco for a 2002 Defender with 40k on the clock. So far I love the truck! I have a question/observation though,
I have noticed a funny noise. It happens when I start the car, generally when it has been standing for a while (overnight etc). Its a sort of moaning noise and it happens when I push the clutch in, for a few seconds then goes, then happens again for a few secs when I push it in again. Weird thing is the noise seems to go once the car gets going/warms up. It happens when I am manoeuvring out of the house and generally goes after a few minutes on the road. Havent heard it after any prolonged driving etc.
It seems to make the same noise whether the clutch is right in or just at the bite point etc as if you were moving the car etc.
Car seems to drive lovely, cant find any other problems with it, just this weird noise.
Any help appreciated.
