clutch master cylinder

just had a look in me landy and found a pool of liquid under me clutch pedal, it looks like me M/C had developed a leak after being left idle over the last couple of months, the annoying thing its not that old i replaced it last year ffs!

Are you sure you didn't just pee your pants?

nah tasted like brake fluid and it were coming off the clutch pedal

Oh well... better to fitting some new seals than a catheter bag I suppose.

for the price of it i am just gonna fit a new M/C it'll be easier than fannying about replacing the seals

Just out of interest can you remember if it was Britpart branded?

it was either ****part or allmakes

****part are notorious for crap rubber seals ur better buying a proper one that'l give years of service

I've been stung by ****part: rear leaf springs, one side sagging and the dowel pins were not the correct diameter. I think I'm going to use genuine stuff as much as possible now. A few years ago I fitted a genuine clutch 90/110 master cylinder to my SIII no problems - it seemed identical apart from a plastic reservoir cap.

i think i have a plastic cap on mine...... i think i got a 110 one last time ....
