Hi, my first post I think. Generally I've adopted the approach that slight vibrations and noises on the whole are pretty standard unless they get excessive however...

I have a bit of judder on my 2.4 Puma (65,000 miles) when coming off the clutch and pulling away although with a bit of care can limit it. It did make me think about a clutch change and was after a bit of info please.

Does it have a dual mass flywheel or solid? Can a garage do a clutch change from below without taking out the floor panels etc? Is there anything else worth changing whilst the bell housing is off the engine (seals, bearings etc???) Thanks.

DMF and its not a big deal to remove floor and tunnel, 65k does seem low for DMF to need doing tho

Trans brake components replaced last week following an old safety recall I found. (Leaky seal/pad contamination). I do have a drip from somewhere so will try and find out where from. I assume that they have a seal on the back of the crank carrier and also the gearbox output shaft that could leak oil onto the clutch friction plate which might cause the judder?

Yes, more prevalent when cold, the judder may disappear when the oil has been ‘worn’ off the friction plate.
