Hi, on my td 5 when I use my clutch there is a clicking noise that drives me nuts ( even when I blast out the music).
The clutch seems to work fine I just want to get rid of the clicking.
All is ok in the foot well so any other ideas?
Cheers all!:D

If you use the clutch with the engine off do you still get the click (is it from the pedal area or bell-housing or only when running?)

Not with it at moment, think its both but more when its running, what would the difference be? seems to come from somewhere behind the foot well. not very mechanical minded but im learning.... all be it slowly.

If it clicks with the engine off it shouldn't be the DMF and will either be something in the pedals area, clutch slave cylinder (unlikely) or release arm, thrust bearing or pressure plate.

Is it just one click when you press / release the pedal or a series of clicks?

Defiantly two clicks when pedal comes up, one near the start and another near the end, with more of a creaking sound when pressing it down.

You need to get someone to operate the clutch while you try to locate the click (crawl underneath if required) and tell us your findings

ive seen the ball that the clutch fork pivots on in the bell housing wear and come loose in its housing, which will cause a kind of clicking noise when pressing and releasing the clutch.

Yeah clicking noise seems to be coming from the bell housing. How much would it be to replace?
