Right so I've changed the clutch in my Freelander 1, L series diesel. Now I'm having trouble getting that bloody stupid hydraulic clutch cylinder back on as it won't push back. After much faffing about, I managed to pump that little yellow valve thing in the line between the master and the slave and pop the cylinder out so I could push it back but obviously now I can't seem to get any fluid down there presumably because of that valve thing. My mate who used to work for land rover said I have to buy a new slave cylinder and then join it with some special tool at that yellow aluminuim valve thing? Is this necessary are there other cheaper options? Its just my run about so the cheapest hassle free option is the best please.

Cheers

John

the master cylinder, slave cylinder and connecting pipe are one sealed assembly on the l-series.
Have you separated it?

No, I can't get the slave cylinder to push back to get it back onto the gearbox clutch arm.

Regarding the yellow valve on the item above its just the connector bit joining the two parts, master and slave. On mine its yellow and aluminuim small cylindrical thing.
