I have just lifted my 97 disco by 1.5 inches with pro comp shocks and springs and 245/75 bf goodrich a/t tyres.

It drives great but when cornering sharply e.g at a roundabout it makes a loud clunking/creaking noise. I am wondering if this is the new shocks or springs wearing in or something more serious. I have checked for rubbing but there seems to be none.

Aany ideas/thoughts much apreciated.

Measure the distance of the front springs from the chassis!
because you lifted it one will be nearer than the other, thats the one thats catching the chassis and making a noise.
you need to fit an adjustable panhard rod to re-align the front axle.

D'ya know, I had poly bushes put in a few weeks ago and immediately after, I heard this creaking/clunking noise. It turned out to be the UJ had gone. Its funny how changing things can suddenly result in hidden problems elsewhere, surfacing.
