Closure of Langdale Quest !!!!!

I was planning a trip to Langdale Quest next week but have heard that it has closed. Does anyone know of another off road course in the north of england?:rolly:

Frickley at errm frickley
Tong (Parkwood) near Bradford.
KORC at Kirton in Lyndsey Lincs
Fosse Cross at Brandsburton near Driffield
Robin Hoods Bay.
Sure to be a few others if you do a search for offroad driving centres.

Yes, I can confirm it is closed. We drove up there from London yesterday (22 Feb '09) after paying a £235 deposit last year. We were confronted by locked gates and a sign explaining why they've been shut down. See my blog post for further information:

Let me get this right despite the fact that almost every 4x4, Trailsbike and quad forum in the UK carrying the news that Langdale Quest has been closed down. You drove all the way from London to Nth Yorks. A distance of approx 240miles. Just to see if it was really closed :doh:

Yes, yes, I feel a little stupid. Actually, scrub that, I feel really stupid!
As for Redhand's comments, they're very justified and they shall stay on my blog as a reminder of the day I forgot to check the internet or even phone to confirm all was ok.
Plus side, I did get my money back from the credit card company.
