Just returned from a 1000 mile trip to France. Car now has a clonking noise when cornering at low speed or pulling away with wheel turned eg if I turn right there are 2 clonks sounds coming from front n/s

Any ideas, car is a L322.

Thanks for the quick reply

I assume I can continue to drive it until fixed.

Is this covered by warranty?

If not will it be expensive?

Thanks once again

Just to try and narrow it down a bit further, the pads were changed all round and rear discs changed, all prior to my journey.

When braking there is now also wheel wobble as though the front discs were warped, would this also indicate CV joint

Wobbly wheel is usually wheel bearings have you checked the wheel nuts. I had a new wishbone strut fitted to a car a few years ago driving down the A303 The car started making a very bad clonking noise and wobbling all over the place. I stopped the car and found all four n/s front wheel nuts were coming off I tightened em up and the car was fine afterwards.

Is this covered by warranty?

No

Check ALL your nuts, go to a tyre service place like ATS they will use a toque wrench (its free) important if you have ali rims

Oh it hurts but its nice, but you have to really be in to that sort of thing though, the wife gives me enough pain thats for sure

Thought I'd update this one

The wheels were all tight no probs

The car has now a new front n/s suspension and a steering rack all done via LR warranty eventually. Touch wood this has sorted the problem.

Have to say out of all the cars I have owned varying in price, performance, country this has to me been one of the worse.

One would have thought a car that cost circa £65k new would ave been screwed together better and more reliable.
