Cloncking noise when turning right and reversing

Help! I have suddenly developed a cloncking noise on my 1.8K Freelander when turning right. A similar problem, although not so severe when reversing.
This suddenly started today. No warning just very loud noise when turnining right. Seems OK when turning left. The noise seems to come from the front.
Any ideas please?

Took it into garage and it turned out to be the engine mounting. Not as bad as I was expecting tahankfully.

clonking when reversing is a classic description of an IRD failure. I should have read the post a bit closer, but I was only making a suggestion, i should have mad it sound more like an "possible cause". Good news it was only the engine mount, far cheaper to sort out.
