Climate Control not working after flat battery

Looked at a p reg p38 tonight. The battery was down and had to be jumped started. Now the climate control is not working? Push all the buttons and nothing? Simple fix or something more of an issue. We checked all the fuses etc

Mine did something similar after flat battery , but mine fixed itself . I just left it thinking I had blown it up went out the next day all was good

Any idea why that was? Just needed to reset?

Was the correct procedure followed to jump it?

Check fuse 42 engine compartment fuse box. Fuse 17 under seat. Fuse 8 under seat that powers relay 7 in BECM, but if your radio is working that will be ok. Petrols must be jumped positive to battery, negative to a suitable place on engine, NOT on battery negative. Diesels jump both leads to battery.

It's a diesel looks like all the fuses are ok? Any suggestions?

They do not like being jumped, maybe the HEVAC has been spiked and damaged. Diagnostics are the way forward IMO.

What diagnostics will I need to find the fault? I know there are various diagnostic equipment ?

I changed the fuse in number 8 under the seat. Before the backlight was faint green ish screen colour on the climate control. Now theres nothing?

New fuse is faulty? Is the carpet damp in the drivers footwell?

I havent noticed a damp spot on the carpet? What does it affect if its damop? what am i looking for?

Can effect BECM. If jumper battery was connected with ignition switched on something may be damaged. Always connect then switch on. You need diag.

I changed the fuses etc. The little screen lights up dull green? But still no functions work. Time for diagnostics I think

Looks like becm rl7 failure. Anyone got the part number?
