Am i right in assuming its the cv joint? is it an MoT fail? MoT due soon so only want to do jobs for that first.

the only other problem, mostly when cold, is acceleration falters at 20mph and 30mph. i just change up a gear. would a new air-mass filter sort this?

mine is a W reg and log book calls it a 2.0 litre Di. so not a turbo model I assume? Or do all Freelanders have a turbo?

I have sciatica and a slipped disc so I don't do my own mechanics any more. I love the car as it's so easy to get in and out of. And the boot makes a great seat when at beach or doing a carboot stall.

Hi, ok, so...

- most likely a cv joint. I think this is a mot failure.

The MOT doesn't check the running of the engine but it does emissions (of course) not sure about the mass sensor..

if it's a di then its the rover l series engine (same as the one iv'e got) and yues it has a turbo, they didn;t make a non turbo version i believe..

Hope you get it all sorted :)

i swapped a £500 pug for it so am prepared to spend a few quid. it's fantastic as a family car. tax is on mobility so there's another saving.
