Clearing up the messy carpet after leaking matrix o rings

Just a quickie, I finally done my o rings, any advice on how to clean the carpet and get rid of thae anti freeze smell??
Should I remove carpet or is a quick clean sufficent?

When I had the same problem in mine, I used some Shout or 1001 type carpet cleaner to clean it intialy took a few applictaions, and then used a foaming capret cleaner a couple of times afer that and then left it to dry.

Ideally I would have used a wet and dry type capret cleaning hover but I didn't have one.

I left the carpet in the car as didn't fancy trying to get it out.

If it comes out easy enough, remove it and give it a good pressure washing - magic.

I find Halfords own heavy duty carpet cleaner is very good and I did mine with that at the time.

Thanks everbody, carpet shampoo it is. I was just concernerd with the insulating foam underneath? And weather any damage could be done to the floor pans with water and antifreeze ingress.

its not the floor pans you gotta worrie about its all the wiring thats under the carpet,undo the trim bits and bobs and dry it with a towel push down on the carpet to force out the coolant from the foam then use the carpet vac
