Clear Waxoyle

Has anyone here used Hammerite Clear Waxoyle that comes in the rattle cans.

I bought a can as I wanted to spray the underside of my tub after I had painted it with 2pack as I wanted it to stay white but with some added protection.

Well it came out like butter (colour and texture).

It was splattering out making a mess generally, I just cleaned it off the small area I had done.

I've only seen it in pictures, but does it not go on CLEAR?? Also it didn't run, it went on and stayed put, unlike black stuff I use with the gun that runs and mists everywhere.

I did try warming it too - still useless.

is easier to spray it with proper gun or brush it on ,it isnt really clear ,and tins are poor

I just bought a one off can of this stuff for the tub really, I have Dinitrol for the chassis.

Surely it shouldn't some out like butter though? It looked like I had melted butter, and put it into a paraffin gun and sprayed it on.

i bought a few cans all are poor it that it congeals in nozzle and it does look buttery

Yeah - terrible stuff.

I just used the can up for the bottom of the tub (wanted it to stay basically white albeit with some protection) and then used a rag to basically rub it down and polish it in a bit - the rag became so soaked in the stuff I used it on the suspension turrets and things - they now have a nice clear coating on them!
