Classic Electric Seats

The drivers memory electric seat has stopped working. Some time ago I noticed a thread which read - "The seat ecus seem to failing so I took mine apart and there is a rechargeable battery on board which had leaked and rotted the circuit board" Anybody have any other ideas? I wonder if it could be relays or something less problematic than trying to get the seat out to look for a leaking battery and circuit board? Could it ne something easy to find and replace that is causing the problem. Thanks

could be anything, first check fuses, if ok then all feeds and grounds need to checked to the seat ecu/switch pack, check for feeds coming out of the switch pack when the buttons are pressed. as the whole lot has packed in then id say its either no power/earth to switch pack or the switch pack itself

Thanks for the information. I 'll get to work on this at the weekend an dlet you know how it goes. When she is good she is very very good but when bad is horrid!! The cubic inches make up for it all.
